About the talk
Mobius Conf is one of the largest independent conferences for mobile developers in Russia. In 2025 I gave a talk on implementing a scalable font system (Dynamic Type / Accessibility) in the “My MTS” app and across the entire MTS app ecosystem.
What we covered
MTS has more than 9 mobile products that share a single design system. The challenge was to build a unified approach to typography that works correctly at any custom font size, including at minimum/maximum accessibility settings. We walked through how we designed the type scale, how we integrated it into the design system, and how it works in code.
Why it matters
The “My MTS” app has 30 million monthly active users, a significant share of whom have visual impairments. Proper Dynamic Type support directly affects the accessibility of the product.
